• IP address — used solely for rate limiting (2 free searches per day)

• To match your lost pet against shelter databases
• To store your pet registration for future searches
• To generate and display your pet's ID card
• To enforce daily search limits
• To improve the accuracy of our AI matching

3. What We Do NOT Do

• We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties
• We do NOT share your data with advertisers
• We do NOT use cookies for tracking or advertising
• We do NOT store payment information (handled by Stripe/PayPal)
• We do NOT share your pet photos with anyone except for matching purposes

4. Data Storage

Your pet registration data and photos are stored securely on our servers hosted by Namecheap VPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

Pet registration data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude AI — for nose print photo analysis (photos are processed but not stored by Anthropic)
• RescueGroups.org — shelter database API
• Adopt-a-Pet.com — shelter listings
• Stripe/PayPal — payment processing (we never see your card details)

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
